Activities from February of 2008

Our young people in the prehispanic dance group made various presentations in our local area, they went to: Tecoman, Colima and Manzanillo. With the talent that this group has, soon they will be an international group!



Our group of little ones and intermediate children could not be left out. They had the chance to participate in some special events of their own: they visited the Sea Turtle Sanctuary in Cuyutlan and played in the beach of Santiago.




An experience of a lifetime!... was what our very own Brenda Lepe had this past month. When the Casa Hogar de los Angelitos gave Brenda a surprise in commemoration of her 15th birthday.



Who said that there aren´t artists in the Casa Hogar! In the first days of the year our founder, Nancy Nystrom iniciated a program to teach art to the children. The children enjoyed the program very much.


Of course!... We couldn´t leave out the photos of our young soccer stars. Congratulations... it´s true that they can do it.

Christmas 2007

In the Foster Home every single one of our children received a present and they enjoyed of delicious posole (a traditional food from Mexico), soda, cake, piñatas, candy, surprise presents and some of them received a special visit of their families…they had lots of fun!

Fun, happiness and cheerfulness is what was brought to the life of the children. Thank you very much too all sponsors of the special events. We recommend too see the pictures of the children and analyze of what you are capable to do in the life of one kid.

Update

Luis and Lupita have moved out of Casa Hogar and are now living with their mother. We wish them all the best and hope that this is a good and positive move for them.

Bertha now 16 has also moved out and is living with her father. She stays in contact with Carmen, her little sister who is still at CHLA. She goes to church with the kids on Sunday nights. We wish her all the best in the world and hope that her time at CHLA fills her with the love and confidense she needs to have a great start in the right direction.

His name is Miguel.
He is 11 years old.

Miguel has been living at the Casa Hogar for the past two months and would like the opportunity to go to school and learn how to read and write. CHLA has started a schooling program for Miguel so that he can make advancements and hopefully soon be able to be accepted into the school system. He likes hanging out with his friends and in his free time he likes to help the House Mothers with the house activities.

All of the children at Casa Hogar Los Angelitos are in our care because of extreme circumstances. Each child has a story and most are heartbreaking; victims of abandonment, abuse, severe neglect, extreme poverty and without hope.
Our child sponsor program means a

$40 per month commitment per child.

Through this sponsorship program you will have the opportunity to be a critical part of making a difference in the life of a child. Your contribution provides the opportunity for these children, in spite of previous conditions, to be able to live life in a new way, children whose lives are changed and who have hope for the future. You will help us provide the daily physical, educational, medical, emotional and spiritual needs of the children.
